More modeling than ever before. The PX4 takes full advantage of Korg's proprietary REMS modeling technology to provide an extensive array of 124 different high-quality effects, and up to seven effects can be used simultaneously. From high-end tube amps to rare vintage amps, it faithfully re-creates the sounds of 14 of the world's most coveted guitar amplifiers. And, you can combine them with the PX4's cabinet models that precisely emulate the acoustic characteristics of the most popular and sought after speaker cabinets. The PX4 even includes pickup modeling, so you can get a single coil or humbucker sound from the same guitar. Plus, the PX4 is packed with other cool effects like Guitar Synth that lets you create synthesizer sounds, an Acoustic Effect for realistic acoustic guitar sounds from an electric, and a Feedback Effect that makes awesome feedback techniques possible at any volume level! It also has an Intelligent Pitch Shifter that automatically creates harmonies while you play, a Talking Effect for "talking guitar" sounds, a Slow Attack that produces violin-type bowed sounds, Rotary Speaker modeling and much more. The 50 preset programs take full advantage of these effects and cover all musical styles as well as the sounds of top artists. You can also create your own multi-effects programs and save them in the PX4's 50 user program-memory locations. More knobs mean less headaches. The PX4 is designed for easy use. Its user interface is based on direct control via knobs, eliminating any complex editing steps. The 11 most frequently used amp types can be selected directly using an independent dial, and tone controls, such as gain, treble and bass, can be edited using knobs, just like on a conventional guitar amp. Effects types and parameter values can also be edited instantly with the value dial. Play along with a variety of rhythm and bass patterns. The PX4 comes programmed with 40 different rhythm patterns covering styles like rock, jazz, funk, blues and dance music. You can specify the key you want to play in and the chords you want to play over and the PX4 will lay down a pro-sounding bass line along with the rhythm backing so you can practice in any style. Of course, you can also its effect programs while you practice, making the PX4 excellent for practicing riffs, creating solos and sharpening your chops. The PX4 also lets you chain up to eight different rhythm patterns together, so you can easily work on demo songs using just your PX4. Phrase Trainer makes learning new licks easy. With the PX4's Phrase Trainer, you can record up to 32 seconds of sound from a CD/MD player and play it back as a loop. The speed can also be slowed down without affecting the pitch of the original material, making it easy to learn difficult or very rapid phrases. In addition, you can play along with the PX4's built-in rhythm and bass, record a phrase and then use it to practice soloing over. The possibilities are endless. Built-in infrared transmitter. Go cordless with the PX4's infrared transmitter. Simply put on a pair of infrared wireless headphones and enjoy playing guitar anytime and anywhere without any annoying cables. Jam with your favorite band. Just connect the output of your CD or MD player to the AUX IN of the PX4, and you can play your guitar while listening to songs on CD. Since the Key Transpose function lets you raise or lower the pitch of the input audio source by as much as one octave, you can play along without having to adjust the tuning of your guitar. You can even change songs recorded in dropped tuning to standard tuning. Backlit semi-transparent LCD for even better visibility. The LCD screen that displays effects and program names is backlit for enhanced visibility, even on a dark stage. And, since icons are used to represent the PX4's various functions, its operating status is obvious even at a glance. Finally, as a first for the Pandora series and to provide outstanding visibility, the PX4 relies on a semi-transparent LCD so that characters and icons are lit up when the backlight is used.
