Digitech VPR Description The Vocalist Performer is designed for acoustic and electric guitarists, piano players and solo singers, allowing them to create "hands free" harmonies. The unit does not need to be controlled by MIDI, and indeed there are no MIDI connections on the piece, nor are there any editing screens. The Vocalist Performer can create hundreds of harmony styles from the fifty different factory presets, each with six variations. It is simply a matter of selecting the key of the song from the front panel keyboard and imputing audio into the unit. The user can choose harmonies above or below the lead vocal. A reverb is included with switchable room types. An optional footswitch allows for bypassing harmony, switching from the A and B sections, turning the reverb on and off and muting individual voices. For home studio enthusiasts, the Vocalist Performer also has a line input so it can create perfect natural sounding harmonies for demos. Harmony can be created "live" in real time or the unit used to add up to two more vocals to a previously recorded track using the line input. It's all just a question of plugging a microphone directly into unit, running the output to an amp and going for it. Key Features Two assignable voices for harmony, automatic doubling and special effects Built-in stereo reverb with three preset types Combined stereo harmony and reverb output Sound source for cue-in note and guitar tuning reference Part A and B switching The A and B buttons allow the user to change harmony settings in the middle of a song without changing programs. The A and B parts can have different keys, scales and harmony settings if desired, and these buttons allow you to select one or the other
