Digidesign MS297 DV Toolkit Desktop Posting With Pro Tools LE! A new software bundle that adds desktop post production functionality to Pro Tools LE 6.1 systems, DV Toolkit enables you to import AAF (Advanced Audio Format) and OMF (Open Media Format) project files from applications such as Avid's Xpress DV on either your Windows XP- or Mac OS X-based Pro Tools LE system. Using DV Toolkit features, you can then record new audio such as voice-over and Foley, clean up unwanted existing audio such as background noise, replace audio such as compromised on-camera dialog, and even add your own music tracks. DV Toolkit's included Time Code functions and specialized plug-ins enormously contribute to making your media projects as efficient and fulfilling as possible. Time Code functions enable you to edit audio to picture with frame accuracy, making it easy, for instance, to spot sound effects. And because Pro Tools software is inherently sample accurate, you can easily accommodate the most difficult audio edits with the utmost precision, a capability that is non-existent in alternative applications. Time Code functions available with DV Toolkit for Pro Tools LE include the Time Code Timebase Ruler, the Feet & Frames Timebase Ruler, Audio Rate Pull Up and Pull Down, and Video Rate Pull Up and Pull Down. Synchro Arts' VocALign Project plug-in provides an ideal means of replacing faulty on-camera dialog. Digidesign's DINR AudioSuite plug-in handles additional cleaning chores, allowing you to quickly remove unwanted noise and artifacts from your audio. DigiTranslator 2.0 manages the exchange of AAF and OMF sequences - standardized files that contain key project information - with other compatible applications such as Avid's Xpress DV.
