Crown CH20000A000 Power Amplifier The CH 2 is a constant voltage and low impedance two-channel power amplifier, designed for installations in restaurants, nightclubs, retail stores, schools or houses of worship. Sold under the Contractor Series name, speaker loads can be mismatched, allowing for independent operation per channel. To help with long speaker cable runs, each channel of the CH 2 is independently capable of both 4 or 8 ohm and 70V or 100V operation, switchable from the rear panel. Also on the back panel, where there is less likelihood of casual tampering, are two individual channel level controls. The amplifier is protected against shorted, open or mismatched loads, over-loaded power supplies and excessive temperature. Additional protection is provided against chain destruction phenomena, input overload damage and high frequency blowups. It also protects loudspeakers from input/ output DC, large or dangerous DC offsets and turn on/turn off transients. The amplifier also includes 70Hz high pass filters on each channel, providing users low-frequency roll-off to eliminate saturation of constant-voltage step down transformers typically used in 70V and 100V distributed systems. The CH 2 is backed by a three year, no-fault full warranty.
