Cerwin Vega V-152MKII Cerwin-Vega had to create a new specification to describe the V-152. The V-152 is a simple solution to a complex problem: How to outperform competing brands claiming performance-for-dollar value. Utilizing our advanced transducer technology coupled with intuitive design concepts, Cerwin-Vega engineers created the best-performing 15" 2-way in its price range. The V-152 employs such features as: 15" woofer with diecast aluminum frame Proprietary spherical high frequency waveguide 103 db sensitivity @1 watt/1 meter Independent protection for all drivers Unlike many of its competitors, Cerwin-Vega designs and manufactures its own transducers. Rugged diecast woofer frame construction provides inherent rigidity and precision for tighter tolerances and higher efficiency. This translates to extremely high output of the bass frequencies as well as reliability over the long term. In order to attain a smooth response at high SPL levels, Cerwin-Vega developed a proprietary spherical waveguide tweeter horn flare. The waveguide provides enormous output of high frequencies which can "keep up" with the low end. Furthermore, the wide dispersion characteristics of the spherical waveguide make the V-152 an excellent choice for full-range nearfield applications. The high quality wood cabinet is covered with rugged solid grey carpet and is also available with black texture painted finish (model V-15X). The V-152 also features a full steel grille, recessed pocket handles, and rubber feet. The cabinet can be mounted on a speaker stand or pole due to a convenient built-in 35 mm stand mount. Cerwin-Vega!s Direct-radiating venting optimizes the output of low frequency energy towards the listener. It also allows for placement of cabinet directly against the wall convenient for cramped listening environments. Cerwin-Vega's dedication to product excellence routinely includes refinements in design, materials, and workmanship. This ongoing process may result in products which differ from those represented in our descriptive literature due to improvements in design, performance, or both.
